Bakti Desa

Sman 3 Bandung has an annual event called Bakti Desa. In this years, Bakti Desa was held from 3rd January to 5th January 2019. We gather in the morning at school and we got there by angkot. It takes a long time, around 2 hours drive by car. We had been divided into several groups. I, Galuh Dilla, Karin Astrid, and Amelia are in the same group. Ah, I forgot to tell you about the village. This Village is called Cibereum Village, why? Because it located in Cibeureum, Kertasari, Bandung. Our angkot is the first to arrive there, but when we arrived there are no other angkot there. So while waiting for another angkot, I enjoyed a plate of batagor first. When everyone have gathered, we attend the welcome greeting and have lunch. Finally, we went to our foster family house. Our foster family have a spacious house. They have 3 children. Their first and second children have married. The third child still in pesantren. They say that their house feel empty because none of their children stay in that house. So they're so happy when we arrived. Honestly, my foster family as a handyman but they also have livestock but when we arrived, it's not the right time to go to the fields so at the first day we just visited the other house and sosialize with the villagers. It was friday night, so the villagers hold prayers together in the mosque and they say that we can't go out at night because some spiritual reason. The second day was the sunny day. Our foster family apologized because they can't accompany us. They have to go to the pesantren with their younger child. So, we went to the other house and then go to their field. After that we went to Ratu's house and made a food called rujak. After 'ngerujak', we went to the village hall. In the village hall, we learning about agricultural technology. Unfortunately, we can't follow all of the lesson because we have to prepare the basic ingredients. It makes me feels so happy because I could share what I have to the other people. Other than usual, tonight we help our foster mom to cook. We make so many bala-bala and gehu. Fortunately, I Gede, Adam, Soraya, Juan, and the other come to our house, so the food don't go to waste. Our last day, we went to Situ Cisanti. Situ Cisanti is so beautiful, we can feel the fresh morning air. This place is the best place for family picnic or morning exercise. After that, we went to our foster. We have breakfast with our foster family. The day was getting late, we said goodbye to our forest family and went to Bandung.
