A Tribute To the God of War

For centuries, residents of Tenganan Pegringdingan Village in Karangasem, Bali have been practicing many rituals. Early this month, they commenced a one month long ritual called "Ngusaha Sambah" to honor Indra, The God of War. The peak of the ritual is called Me Kare Kare. Prior to the ritual combat, women prepare traditional healing. The origins of a local belief in this village that boys and men have to make a blood sacrifice for the God Indra. The battle is way to express their devotion to the God. The tradition reflects a sense of togetherness, there are no winners or losers in this battle.

I think Indonesian tradition must be explored and promoted to the international because it can make many tourists want to go to Indonesia. It can increas our nastional income. This tradition should must be preserved so that the next generation knows what is Indonesian culture.
